Master's Commission Amsterdam North June-August 2010 Contest!

As directors of Master's Commission Amsterdam North we are calling all christian young artistic designers to join us for a June-August Contest and win a free I-Pod!

We as discipleship school need to wear promo t-shirts that will represent our school as we go out on ministry in Holland and throughout Europe.

We choose for this year the theme God-Centered, for our desires is to see young people which are God Centered, transformed by God, but also spiritually mature in God, God fearing and radically going for God because only those people will be able to change the world.

Remember: "Living a God CENTERED life is neither a form nor method, it is a choice. The choice to live the life God has planned for you."

By this we would like the promo t-shirt to have a cool graphic design in Rock style and inspired by our theme God-Centered.

Fort Myers in Amsterdam

An American Hurricane called FMMC has hit our Dutch coast on March the 4^th. This fresh wind has blessed and reached the Northern part of Amsterdam. A team of 18 students and staff left from sunny Fort Myer’s in Florida to join our small crew of MCAN. Together we have worked for 2 weeks in our neighbourhood through street evangelism, student’s surveys on the free ferry and much more.

Meanwhile we have been blessed working with our local church Agape in multiple ministries; one evening different youth groups gathered together for a great youth event and a week later we all left for a 3 days youth camp in an Island called Ameland in the highest part of The Netherlands. Through fellowship, bible studies, preaching and human videos the Lord has reached the youth of Agape formed by more than 80 young people. Many of these youth have consecrated their lives back to God but even more exiting some of them have given their lives to God and decided to follow His command of the water baptism.

So much has happened in just 2 weeks and as you can see this hurricane has brought much more than a simple wind; a total renewing. 

We can’t wait till September comes; we trust that new doors will open for people and students who are willing to get to know God and make Him known in The Netherlands.

MC encounters

Twice a home...

Yes, starting MCAN is a big happening, a great adventure. It also has some major effects on our lives, which we are happily a part of. Since God called us to Holland we had the blessing of getting a house beside the church. This was an experience where we could get to know the church and it's people in it and we loved it. Now we have decided to give the house, that we lived in for almost 5 years, as a students house for MCAN. This house will have to be adjusted to be able to have at least 8 students living there. Extra showers and toilets and offices will need to be build.

Of course this means that we are on the search of a new home, a haven for our children. We want to give them a place where they feel protected, loved and live happy years in a great environment. I have to say that this was not an easy search, especially around Amsterdam. Price are high, housing are small...We found a house in Hoorn, a beautiful house, with great schools for the childeren. It is though 30 minutes away from the church. I used to live in Hoorn when I was a child and have good memories there; I was always going to the church in Amsterdam. It has never stopped me from going.

Could you please pray for this? *that God will let us live in the house according to His plan *that if this is Hoorn, that distance is not an obstacle *that also the building project of MCAN students house will be blessed. All this so that we can give a great house for our childeren and a great house for the future students of MCAN.
